Feedback

I'm not one to post on here or really take things online but such is my dissatisfaction with this game I have to, I highly doubt that anyone in any semi official capacity reads these but in the 1% chance they do, they have to know the situation.

I have owned every EA FC/FIFA game since 2001 and I would say have played every single title fairly religiously since FIFA08 and to clarify I don't think this gives me any more right to complain than a brand new player but it's just important I feel to understand the context and scale of my basis of comparison.

I think there has been a pretty steep decline in the quality of game in recent years with maybe some elements getting improved but then other elements of the game suffer for it and I get it, it's a balancing act. However, this year is in my opinion the worst attempt by a mile at that balance. I play clubs, career mode and ultimate team generally, unfortunately the group I played clubs with gave up on the game a couple of years back so I have played more and more ultimate team and career mode, these have been poor on a few recent titles but I manage to make it to around early the new year on average before having enough and losing interest. This year that has come now, not through boredom but moreso through sheer annoyance at the quality of the product. 

My 3 career mode experiences so far have all ended up with me getting the sack despite performing well against my objectives.

Ultimate team, I could write books on every aspect that has problems. I haven't actually played for a few days and just returned to play Champions, my opening 3 games have ended up with 2 wins and loss and the number of goals in each game have been:

Game 1: 15 (8-7 W)

Game 2: 14  (9-5 L)

Game 3: 20 (12-8 W)

3 games, 49 goals. This just cant be right. I may get accused of the classic 'Learn to defend' but that's not the issue here. The fundamentals of football are not evident in the game, all you have to do is name one aspect of football and if you looked up the basics of that aspect, it is not in this game. It is so broken and in previous titles there have been aspects that don't work but I've stuck with it simply because I trust them to improve it as there is only one or two major issues to fix  but this year I have to give up on the game now because every single aspect of the game is broken. There is no part of the actual gameplay where I would say 'Yeah, keep that bit and build on it'. I'll say it again, the fundamentals of football are missing and its outrageous that it's taken the game to be released for this to come to light. Where is the feedback in production? Where are the testers? Honestly, it hurts after so many years to see what was once a pillar of the gaming community fall so far.

I said earlier I don't really ever post about a game so don't see much other feedback either, I hope to god the rest of the community do feel similar and that we're not being brainwashed into accepting this as a standard.
