Re-Buff Defending
Soo you not only nerfed GKers, but you buffed attackers and pace for the new Ultimate Scream update. 80pace averaging or less Defenders that already play with what seems like Semi-Professional AI and its garbage. They are so slow to react. They don't press or close down on their own AT ALL, even teammate contain is slow to react. Its ALWAYS behind the player for me. Moving to where they were, not where they are heading. Manual Defending gets wrecked with a simple cut back shot. Its all sprint sweat now. 2 quick passes to the forwards and a thru ball on goal. GG.
Like I'm D7. Barely. I know I'm not the best player. But last week games were reasonable, defenders had a slim chance. Today they have none. LB switching seems to have major delay and team mate contain doesn't seem to work (for me). I press teammate contain, and they just stand five yards off of them, then run back to some magic spot on the field locked in an animation that players just abuse. I'm just watching my defenders get roasted. Bring back team press so my players don't give EVERY player 10 yards of space, if defending is going to be this bad. Are there sliders for my teammate AI that I've been missing or something? Seriously its like my computer teammates are barely Professional level. But I can beat the 86/33 teams 5-9/0-1 on Professional. Its not hard or that fun. Meanwhile I'm getting stomped 10+/2 in Rivals, because you punish quitting so hard. At least give us a Mercy rule so I don't get penalized for quitting if matchmaking is going to be this bad.
Manual Defending is already hard. There's so many AI flaws/bugs it makes playing sometimes genuinely not fun, especially defense.
-I've watched my CBs on Defender/Defend, just absolutely sprint to the opposing 18 and back.
-ALL players have some weird 'home' position on the field and will absolutely ignore a loose ball or opposing player in order to run back there.
-I've watched all sorts of players that don't have a mark just stand idly by while the opponent just walks with the ball around nearby.
-One of the worst is CBs have some bug that literally makes them prefer to double mark a wide forward leaving the middle wide open. And since you can pretty much bang a goal in from just outside the box this is just frustrating to watch.
-Just as bad is watching your high defensive line, which says doesn't track runs, just waltz back to the 18 because the opposing forward decided to run there. Like just leave him offside.
-Standing Tackle is so broken its not funny. I've seen forwards press, defend and steal better than actual defenders.
-You can dribble around the whole opponents box and NOT A SINGLE COMPUTER PLAYER will press the ball carrier on its own. This means I'm only ever playing with 1 to 1.5 players when I have a team of 11!
-Also, why do I have to send all but 2 or 3 people forward into the box for every corner kick???
I don't necessarily mind the ease of scoring and speed sweat-fest, but make it so defenders at least have a chance.
