The homesick player event CANNOT ONLY HAPPEN TO NEW SIGNINGS

Playing as Napoli and i sign Hojlund permanently from his loan. In the same season he tells me hes homesick when he balled out the whole year. Next season rolls around and he submits transfer request and no bid comes in but i didnt care about that, released him. I then sign Adam Hlozek as a replacement and he hits me with the same thing 9 games in. Can this happen with somebody already in my squad? Why is the game forbidding me from signing a foreign striker? To be honest this event should be removed in Serie A saves, you’re telling me these guys hate life in Italy? 🤣🤣🤣Jokes but man i love unexpected events but sometimes it makes no sense at all.
