Update FC26

Authentic Gameplay is gradually becoming Competitive Gameplay after every update

One of the main reasons I bought FC26 was EA’s promise of having two distinct gameplay experiences: Competitive Gameplay for Ultimate Team and online modes, and Authentic Gameplay for Career Mode and offline players.

Unfortunately, with every title update, the offline experience seems to drift further away from that promise.

The issue is not difficulty. Match results are still balanced, and the AI remains challenging. The problem is the feel of the game itself.

Players now make unrealistically sharp turns, body movements lack weight and inertia, acceleration feels overly responsive, and the overall gameplay is becoming increasingly similar to the fast-paced Ultimate Team experience. The natural and organic feel that Authentic Gameplay initially offered is being lost.

What is especially frustrating is that these changes are significant and happen repeatedly with almost every update. As offline players, we spend time adjusting sliders and building long-term Career Mode saves, only to see the gameplay fundamentally altered again a few weeks later.

We were sold the idea of two different football experiences. Please do not turn Authentic Gameplay into another version of Competitive Gameplay.

Many Career Mode players are not asking for easier gameplay. We are asking for weight, realism, inertia, natural animations, and a slower, more believable style of football.

At this point, the constant and frustrating changes introduced through updates are making me seriously reconsider buying future EA Sports FC titles. One of the most disappointing aspects is investing time in finding a gameplay style that feels realistic, only to have it changed repeatedly without any option to preserve the previous experience.

Please preserve the identity of Authentic Gameplay and give offline players the stable and realistic experience that was promised.
