I think EA should add VAR when you are playing with friends locally, where can pause the game go the the highlights and pic VAR mode and then we get to be the VAR and decide if something was a penalty, offside, red card etc. Now say there is 3 or more of you guys, the majority decision is the one the game takes and final and proceeds with. I think that will add a lot of fun interactions with friends.
That's a valid point, but I think a good solution would be to let players choose when to use VAR, limited to once per player per game, with a 30–60 second window to decide. AI deciding when VAR is triggered could force reviews players don’t want, so player-controlled VAR seems like the better option. Obviously there should be an option to toggle how many VAR checks are allowed in a game.

It would be too time consuming, especially if people are biased in a 3+ group then they would spam the var option for every time their player is touched or if a goal is conceded. If there is var, it should be AI controlled but only activates once in a while.
