What happens if I evolve my pre-order ICON before the Champion upgrade?

Hi everyone,
I have a question regarding the pre-order ICON in EA FC 26.

If I use my pre-order ICON in an Evolution before the official Champion upgrade (coming later this year), will that affect the upgrade in any way?
For example, will the card still receive the automatic Champion version, or could the Evolution cancel or overwrite that upgrade?

I’d really appreciate it if someone from EA or anyone who already tried this could confirm how it works.
