What is going on with gameplay !!

Never am i loosing the ball as much  ! the touches of all the players are about 1m infront of them . Passes not going to my players always getting intercepted.  AI keeping hold of the ball for the majority of the game. Struggling to even get 35% possession in most matches the AI doesn’t even try to score a goal they finish games with less than two shots on goal but they just randomly keep the ball for massive periods of the game. I’ve actually stopped playing now as it’s genuinely not enjoyable . been playing for 15 years and I’ve never seen the gameplay so unplayable. what is going on what has happened to this game?
