MISSING PLAYERS (NINTENDO SWITCH)

I've been doing a lot of career modes with the icons. I love to see how the enhanced AI for them plays and what clubs they join on their own merit, but I have noticed that a lot of my icons seem to have vanished. Torres, Veron, Kluivert, etc, from the first season pass. Is this a visual glitch? I hope so, these icons being temporary just doesn't add up.
