New contract setup
I know some like the new contract, but I have just taken over Port Vale and they have 8 players who have 6 month ish left on their contract. I am basically going to lose them as they will not discuss...

Good shout mate. As you, I'm also not a fan. I did find though, as time passed, that some of my players running out of contracts approach me with a wish to negotiate a better deal. After that I was suddenly able to enter negotiations, but it does seem kind of random, and it kind of forces you to offer +5 year deals every time, since you don't know when you're going to be able to offer a contract again.
