Not able to join clubs

I can see that there are a lot of people who can’t join clubs with "unable to connect to EA servers check your internet connection" message. I also get a message that I need to change my settings. I have checked the connection, settings and contacted xbox about this problem, (they refer me to EA) but nothing’s happening. 
Has anyone had a reply from an ea advisor about this?

Thanks - sooooo frustrated with this. Bought the game primarily to join clubs.
