Banned account

My account has been banned for 28 days and there are only four days left of the ban.

I contacted technical support to inquire about the reason for the ban, but I received no explanation.

Don't I have the right to know why I was banned?

To avoid being banned again in the future and to prevent myself from being banned once more.

I've seperated your post into a new thread, as it seems to be its own issue.

Unfortunately we can't help with or look into bans here on the forums (we lack the tools to look into accounts in general.). You can try reaching out to our terms of service team directly, but if you only have 4 days left on your ban they might not get back to you by the time that the ban expires.

Thanks,EA_QueenBee . I also have some feedback on your choice of words in your response (not just you but other community managers as well). You often seem to want to play down the problem more than actually acknowledging it. This time the wording is "I know that sometimes they don't want to share the exact thing that caused a ban". The word "sometimes" minimizes and dismisses a huge problem into seeming rare and obscure. It is a dishonest choice of words, as the described practice is obviously standard practice and not at all limited to "sometimes". You then give a somewhat good reason for secrecy, "as that can help cheat developers refine their tools". However as many have pointed out before me, the balance is wrong and a lot of innocent players like myself have received bans, and further have been denied any fair appeal process.

    Hey kongalrex,

I can absolutely take that as feedback. I know that sometimes they don't want to share the exact thing that caused a ban as that can help cheat developers refine their tools, but if the process is too opaque then hopefully that's something they can change in the future.

The support team will follow up until I can find out the reason.

But the question here is why, when accounts are closed and banned, is the reason for the ban not explained?

What's the problem with this, since the clarification here helps the player avoid the violation?

My account is currently locked for no apparent reason, and it will be unlocked in a few days. However, I might be banned again for the same violation, which I don't even know about.

    Thank you for your patience

EA_QueenBee Though you might not be able to helpYEM_vip by telling them the reason for their ban, their main question is still relevant for you to answer:

"Don't I have the right to know why I was banned?

To avoid being banned again in the future and to prevent myself from being banned once more."

I would also like a general answer to this question, and a more open policy in the future would help too. At least count it as a constructive request for improved customer service in the future.
