Fc 26 defending.
Is it just me, or has defending become impossible with the new patch? I can't defend at all; I get destroyed every game. Before the patch i was in div4. Now i am about to get relegated out of div 5. The game is shocking.

If they’re hitting the counter hard go to a deep line otherwise use 60 depth. Then switch players constantly while pulling defenders back and to the center and hope for an interception or block that goes your way. That’s all that’s left. Scoring will still be ridiculously high but you can make just enough stops to have a chance.
Between your AI teammates behaving poorly in all manners of the game, there is no defense anymore. They nerfed it so hard the only thing left is pass, spin, shoot and score. You can try to cut passing lanes, but unless your making a tackle it just pulls your players out of position. And if you're going to miss your tackle you might as well foul them. Closing down and pressing with your CBs is a huge no-no in this patch. The computer will tiki-taka to a thru ball/cross and shoot before you can even react.
