Goal Posts in Center/Small Goals

Has anyone encountered an error where the goal posts are nearer to the center of the goal? The attached photo is a game from Friday, July 3rd around noon in Season 8 Exhibition play on PS5.

I wondered if it was a gameplay gimmick or cosmetic my opponent had, but I've never seen it before and it wasn't present in games after. 

The posts are nearer to the center of the goal and shrink it tremendously. Multiple times, I hit the post while the ball was well inside the usual boundaries of the goal. It affected both players, and my opponent seemed to know going in that it was going to happen. They purposely conceded an own goal to end the game at 3-1.

Is this an error, hack, or just some promo thing I missed? Has anyone else experienced this?
