Previous FIFA players made excellent runs and were intelligent lruns and positional sense calbrated accordingly, however this one mostly passive /idiotic positions unless manually trigger or player lock this may be geared towards pros but it's frustrating for casuals, may I suggest different modes for pros or wanabee to be able play on manual player lock, everything, what your guys thoughts...
Attacking AI is awful this year. No matter the formation or roles you're giving your players, it comes out to the same thing. Wide open spaces in the midfield. No available triangles for the give-and-go. Player locks are litteraly your only option. Just lackluster petty programming from ea developers that makes you wonder if this game was even tested before release.
Defensive AI has been an issue for years now. The problem is that you can't press enough with the right bumper to get the ball off your opponent which basically leaves you no option but to manually defend. When you do that your AI defenders that you have no control over will literally let your opponents player walk right in without contesting or challenging the play which can lead to really high scoring games on both ends if you know how to exploit those tactics.
Everything about this game is just trash...
Ai shockingly stupid. Defenders drop deep to Create space for opponent to attack. CDM just stands dere and does not track back. Forget attack AI, they cant even code simple stuff that has clear basic rules. Like defenders pushing up holding line to create offside.
This is a complete broken mess of a game. Just trash in EVRY way...
Passing... I hold right on stick to pass to Vieira.. Game decides to pass up to the left for Ronaldo who is covered. Wich is the reason i didnt pass there.
Tackle a guy and ball magically goes back to him or it make a completely impossible bounce to his best placed player. Who is best placed cause ur defender decided to run 2 meters behind defensive line to give him room.
Stats are a complete lie, just like everything else. My 85 Pace Modric feels faster then my 95 Oppenda...
But they also sucked the fun out of dribbling with magnetic toes that can take ball from u even from behind.
Like i said they cant even make the players pass correctly. So how can we expect they have any idea on how to make the AI work
This game can never be fixed unless they rebuild it on a new game engine. Right now its a broken mix of cheats coded in to fake gameplay. Like ur player moving out of the way so opponent can get the ball...

I think AI in this game stands for Artificial Idiot. There's no intelligence in this game whatsoever. Attack is either kicking the ball as far to the front as possible, or whiggling that **bleep** more than a prom queen in heat, firing skill shots at Mach 2. Defending is doing nothing, since attackers of the opponent are programmed to hide behind them anyway. Every attempt to manually defend an attack results in a goal
