Play modes

I'm having a hard time finding opponents in game modes other than Rivals. Is it just that no one else is playing those other game modes or is it EA's matchmaking that's the problem?

Lost 1.5 million coins
I was opening packs and decided to discard a gold because i had no room anywhere, and it reset my coins all the down to 300. im just trying to figure out why
