RESTRICTED 3 TIMES IN 9 DAYS - EA's System is Stuck in an Infinite Loop

This is getting beyond ridiculous and I need to share this publicly.

My Timeline:

  • Jan 16: Market restriction for "balance transfer"
  • Jan 20: EA restored my access - they confirmed it was a mistake
  • Jan 22: Restricted AGAIN for the same reason
  • Jan 24: EA restored my access AGAIN - second confirmation I did nothing wrong
  • Jan 25: Restricted for the THIRD TIME

Let that sink in: EA has manually reviewed my account TWICE, restored my access TWICE, confirming my trading is completely legitimate. Yet their broken automated system keeps flagging me every 2-3 days for doing the exact same legal trading.

What I Actually Do: Normal market trading. Buy cards cheap through "Buy Now", sell them higher. That's literally it. One account. No external coin purchases. No transfers between accounts. No bots. Just regular trading like thousands of other players do every single day.

This is NOT Normal: If EA's own staff confirms twice that you're innocent and restores your access, but their system immediately restricts you again for the same activity - that's not enforcement. That's a malfunctioning algorithm stuck in an infinite loop of false positives.

The Bigger Picture: This isn't just me. Hundreds of PC players are experiencing identical false restrictions since mid-January. The same mass ban wave that hit PlayStation on Dec 24th (which EA fixed in 8 hours) is now destroying PC accounts - but EA refuses to acknowledge it publicly.

The Appeal Process is Broken:

  • Submit appeal → automated bot rejection
  • OR they restore access → system restricts you again 48 hours later
  • Repeat endlessly

I'm literally trapped in a cycle where EA confirms I'm innocent, then their own system punishes me again for being innocent.

What Needs to Change:

  • Public acknowledgment this is a PC-wide system error
  • Protection for players already falsely flagged multiple times
  • Actual human oversight, not bots reviewing bots
  • Fix or disable the detection system until it can distinguish between legitimate trading and actual rule-breaking

I'm posting this publicly because normal support just sends me in circles. If you're stuck in the same restriction loop, comment below. EA needs to see this is affecting real players who've done nothing wrong.

Has anyone else been restricted, unbanned, then restricted again? How many cycles have you been through?

This system is fundamentally broken and it's destroying legitimate accounts.

  • Yep my friend just got banned for coin transfer, is there a point to even trying to buy and sell on the market if you just get banned for it. They might as well add to the ToS that making money on the transfer market is not allowed. Am i going to make too much and get banned? If i accidentally hit buy now and then have to sell it for a weird looking transaction, like selling it at a loss or similar price, will I get banned?

I think the issue is more related to their inability to stop bots from being on the market, and when a regular user interacts with them they get banned by association. We cannot tell who we are trading with and any regular player can see a cheap card and want to buy it for resale. You also allow the transfer market website to continue running where a majority of bots do their transactions and you cannot tell the difference between a bot and a person when someone is smart about using it. You cannot stop bots completely, but at least make it harder than using a chrome extension in your web browser.

You are using an ineffective automated system that falsely bans users routinely, to then have another automated system in the appeals process that typically will just reaffirm a false positive without anyone ever looking into it unless they do X number of appeals.

We can't help if certain cards end up in the hands of bots and coin distributors and are punished for interacting with them when we are simply buying cards for cheaper prices to resale.
