Great post. The momentum has been shifting for many years now and EA has catered towards the ping pong, hold down the sprint button, repetition game style type players.
Problem is, if EA was to adresss this by making the gameplay more realistic and immersive and force everyone to play the game in a more realistic way, the pros and online players would be the first to have a moan that they've ruined the game and EA would bow down to them as ultimately it's a money game.
I thought the Authentic Gameplay option was a solution this year but it's absolute nonsense, it's built on the unrealistic core engine.
