Platform - ps4 game, played on ps5 pro
Game mode(s) affected - Ultimate team
Whether this is only in matches or also in menus/loading - sometimes it feels like the menus are slow, but the major issue is the gameplay
When it started - the patch before this oneUsual in-game ping 12-16ms
Wired or wireless connection - wired
Region/country - UK
Whether it happens every match or only at certain times - nearly every match, I think i get maybe 3 hours a week with good gameplay.
Ive upgraded my router, my controller and now my console to try and fix this game, that's thousands of pounds for something that isn't my fault

Thanks for the reports. Based on what’s been shared so far, several of you do seem to be describing a similar symptom: slow or heavy in-match gameplay, including delayed inputs, slow turning, passing, dribbling, and tackling.
That said, we still can’t confirm this is the same issue for everyone. Similar symptoms can come from different causes, so we need a few specifics to properly narrow this down.
If you’re affected, please reply with:
- Platform
- Game mode(s) affected
- Whether this is only in matches or also in menus/loading
- When it started
- Usual in-game ping
- Wired or wireless connection
- Region/country
- Whether it happens every match or only at certain times
If possible, please also share a short clip showing the delayed or heavy gameplay with controller input.
I know some of you have already tried standard troubleshooting, but those steps can still help with triage. The reason is simple: the same “slow gameplay” feeling can come from different sources, and those checks help show whether this is a broader gameplay issue or something affecting certain setups, modes, or match conditions.
The more specific the reports are, the easier it is to raise this clearly and accurately.

Crazy that this is the biggest issue going on with people all over the world. Whenever we report some issue, there is a small chance a mod will see that and follow up. As soon as we mention the horrible server and slow gameplay, it is a sea of silence. EA_Pulsar please give an update on this.
slow, what can i say? when your game sucks to play because i am faster than the opponent? maybe internet lag? you have been here for years and haven´t even wrote a program to even the ping from different players into the same so that everyone can enjoy the **bleep** game?

EA and the community will suggest this and that....that only works for a few. The slow, unstable connection, input delay, and everything else thats wrong with the game.....That is the game. This horrible game is what EA wants us all to play. We have to accept that.
That alternative is never buying any EA subscriptions or EA games. Maybe then they will respect their community and sell us a product that functions like it originally did within the first 30 days, when we could require a refund and secure our money back. I only notice how broken the game became after the refund requirement period expired. Suck my soccer balls deep in your throat EA for not honoring the communities post 30 day patch refund requests.

Thank you for your response, I have the same problem, slow gameplay. To clarify, this is not a network, hardware, or local configuration issue.
I narrow it down for you: Sliders, adjust the sliders!
All standard troubleshooting steps have already been reviewed and ruled out, including:
* Stable low latency connection (~8 ms)
* High in-game connection rating (99) (This rating is from EA Sports "connection test" website)
* No FPS drops, stuttering, or performance degradation
* No issues in menus or other modes
The problem is isolated specifically to **in-match gameplay**, which strongly indicates a gameplay tuning issue rather than a technical one.
Since the recent update, gameplay has become noticeably slower and out of sync, particularly in:
* Player responsiveness
* Tackling registration (This is the biggest problem, after the last update the tackling system is broken)
* Passing accuracy and timing
* AI behaviour and pressure (No attacking runs but AI pressure is set to "Ultimate" )
This is consistent across matches and has been widely reported by other players, which further confirms this is not an individual setup issue.
At this stage, repeating basic troubleshooting steps is not addressing the problem.
**This requires escalation to the team responsible for gameplay tuning (e.g. sliders, AI behaviour, and match pacing).**
Could you please confirm that this has been escalated accordingly and provide any updates from the relevant team?

The game is slow in all the above, but the most frustrating is how gameplay is so slow, there a desync from input that makes no sense, players turn slow, pass slow, dribble slow. It says 16ms all game but it is like 100-200ms in reality. Every single animation that players perform is mudded slow.

Hey oddstadir. Can you share a bit more detail about what feels slow?
For example:
- Is the game slow in menus, during matches, on loading screens, or throughout the whole game?
- What platform are you playing on?
- When did this start happening?
- Are you seeing lag, low FPS, stuttering, or long load times?
The more detail you can provide, the easier it will be to narrow down the cause.
