Can't sell player I bought from the market

I bought Vanja Milinković-Savić(not ranked up) from the market and ranked him to purple rank with new rank up tokens. Now, I can't sell him, he become untreadable in my team. I don't know if it is a bug or some new EA change? Please, I need explanation.
