Clubs XP Booster losing a game

I spent my hard earned club coins on the 2.5x XP booster for my clubs character and the first game worked perfectly. However in my second game the opponent left early and the booster lost a game but I was rewarded with no XP at all.  I expect some sort of compensation for the scamming pulled off from the skipped game. I spent hard earned time to get that and this corporation just skipped a game's XP to keep me on for longer. Purposeful or not I truly don't know.
