companion app issues

I’ve been trying to sign into the companion app for the past 20 minutes yet every time i submit my details i get hit with a pop up saying that the EA account servers are unavailable and to check my internet connection - which i have done and it is absolutely fine 

im wondering whether anyone else is having this issue or if anybody has a solution or possible explanation to it
