Constant controller vibration in menus

Just installed on PC.

When I open FC26, my controller (Xbox) starts vibrating endlessly. It only stops when I hold RB to open the music menu, and on the avatar creation screen (where you can't open the music menu) the vibration doesn't happen, so I assume it's tied to that.

Also, when I tab out of FC26 and back in, it for some reason opens the Social screen (usually RT). Then after closing that, I am unable to open it again with RT.

Absolutely garbage UI design. Insane that this game has been out for 4 months (33% of its' lifespan realistically, when you consider that the next one will be out in 8 months) and this hasn't been fixed/addressed.

I've seen some posts about installing an Xbox app to disable vibration. No. IMAGINE having to install an additional app with every game just to make it function. How about EA, one of the world's largest videogame companies, release a game where a simple menu system functions properly.

The first game ever that I will uninstall and refund without ever getting to play the actual game.

  • Hello, not sure why the community manager has such a condescending tone and it seems like his first sentence was just implying you are imagining your issue but I was having the same issue today.

I just bought a razer keyboard and installed it’s software, it seems that razer synapse has some sort of virtual game controller that causes issues and make controllers vibrate. To fix this

    Disable the Keyboard's "Controller" Driver:

    1. Open Device Manager on your PC.
    2. Expand the Human Interface Devices (HID) section.
    3. Locate HID-compliant game controller (this is often the Razer keyboard's virtual controller).
    4. Right-click it and select Disable device. Note: If you use the keyboard's pressure-sensitive "analog" keys for racing games, this will turn that feature off.

If you see more then 1 HID-compliant game controller here is how to identify the right one to disable:

    Check Hardware IDs:

    1. Right-click each HID-compliant game controller in Device Manager and select Properties.
    2. Go to the Details tab and select Hardware Idsfrom the dropdown.
    3. Look for a VID (Vendor ID) of 1532. This is the code for Razer.
    4. The Xbox controller will usually have a VID of 045E (Microsoft).

Hopes this helps anyone who has the same issue.

I can't believe it... I have had this issue since I got the game in pre-release, and I searched forever and never found out how to fix it, so I gave up and just used the XBox Accessories app to disable vibration... but randomly today I decided to try to see if anyone had figured out a fix, and I saw this reply AND IT FIXED IT! Thank you SO MUCH, I never thought to check my Razer software, since I don't have a razer controller or anything. THANKS AGAIN!
