FC26 Feels Unplayable With the Same Ping as FC24/FC25

In both FC24 and FC25, I used to play with 70–85 ms ping, and Ultimate Team was playable. The latency and input delay were not very noticeable. However, in FC26, even though I still have the same ping, the game feels very unplayable, almost as if I am playing with 130–150 ms. The latency and input delay are so bad that I cannot even dribble properly with my players. For example, when I move the controller to the left, the player moves left with a significant delay. I am playing the game from Azerbaijan, and many of my friends are experiencing the same problem. I don’t understand how the gameplay can become worse even though the ping remains the same compared to FC24 and FC25. Is there any way to fix this issue?

  • Hey reusxw​ 70-85ms ping is about fair, it's not good but not the worst thought that said it is high enough that you could see issues with playing.

    It's worth taking a look at the connection troubleshooting steps to work on improving this.

    It is also worth a chat with your ISP to see what they can recommend.

    It's worth taking a look at the connection troubleshooting steps to work on improving this.

    It is also worth a chat with your ISP to see what they can recommend.

  • I believe that this is not related to ISP as there are friends of mine who are using different service providers and facing the same issue. Also, as I mentioned above, although the ping was same, in FC24 and FC25 I did not face the same problem regarding the latency. The issue is, I believe, related to the game's technical side.

    EA_Darko​ So, I am still trying to play a match... In my last match, I had 80-85ms, and at first the game was smooth. Then, after two minutes, the latency came back; even though the game does not look like lagging, there is a huge input delay. Enemy is moving smooth, but my players are taking the input with a high delay. I'm using PS5 Controller (and I played Wired). I do not think that the problem is related to the connection at this point. Also, when the game ended, my game suddenly was stuck to 5 FPS; this is not happening for the first time in FC26. I've seen dozens of bugs within two days.. I hope you can assist me in this matter.

    I set the frame limit to 120hz and fps limit to 90. Then everything went smooth; I used to play with 144hz and 144FPS limit. I believe this is related to optimization issue. No input delay or any issue now.

  • EA_Darko​ I’m experiencing another issue. Everything works fine during the first match, but after the first or sometimes the second match, the in-game FPS suddenly drops to 5 FPS and seems to get locked there. Because of this, the game becomes unplayable again. Could you please help me understand what might be causing this issue or suggest any possible fixes?

    People has been reporting stutter and input delays for 5 months and my man still thinks its about connection.

    Besides telling you to check your ISP, you won’t get any real help from “support.” This isn’t just a one time issue over five months it happens every single year. Honestly, don’t waste time trying to find a solution, because there isn’t one. It’s not your ISP or anything on your side; it’s the game and its servers.

    Also, don’t expect any useful technical advice here, as most if not all responses will just blame you or send you to some useless link. At best, you’ll get generic suggestions like restarting your router, rebooting your PS5, or clearing cache as if that’s a realistic fix...also imagine doing this for every single game on your console.
