Constant Disconnects & Poor Matchmaking Routing on PS5
I am writing this to report a critical issue regarding server routing and matchmaking for players in Vietnam (ASEAN region). Please refrain from providing the standard "check your home network" response, as I have conducted extensive testing that confirms the bottleneck is occurring at the ISP-to-Server routing level, not the local hardware.
The Issue:
Constant Mid-game Disconnections: Every 1–2 matches in Division Rivals, I am kicked with the error: "You have lost your online connection... Check your home network." This happens despite a stable, high-speed fiber connection.
Suboptimal Server Assignment: When matchmaking is set to "Auto," the system consistently routes me to nodes with 40-50ms ping, which is unacceptable for competitive gameplay in this region.
The Technical Proof:
I have tested my connection using a specialized gaming network tool (GearUP Booster) to force routing specifically to the Singapore Data Center.
Without Booster (Standard Routing): 45-50ms ping with frequent packet loss and mid-game drops.
With Booster (Optimized Routing): Stable 30ms ping with zero disconnections over several hours of play.
Analysis:
Since the hardware (Wired Ethernet/Cat6), ISP bandwidth, and modem remain identical in both scenarios, the issue is clearly bad routing or packet dropping at the hops between Vietnamese ISPs and EA’s ASEAN servers. The "Auto" matchmaking is failing to identify the most stable path, and the default routing is too unstable to maintain a heartbeat with the FC servers.
