ea ban appeal confusion

I’m posting here because I’m having an issue with my appeal and I’m not getting any clarity on what is happening with my account.

I submitted an appeal regarding my transfer ban, but instead of receiving an actual response or explanation, the case was marked as "Closed" and labeled as a duplicate. The only reason I can think of is that I had started another live chat conversation while trying to get help. I don’t understand why opening a live chat would cause my appeal to be treated as a duplicate and closed without a proper review.

I also want to acknowledge that I may have contributed to some confusion on my side. When submitting my appeal, I selected PC as my device even though I actually play on PS5. I’m mentioning this because I want to be completely transparent, and I’m wondering whether that may have affected the way my case was processed.

What is making this even more confusing is that the transfer ban has now completely disappeared from the penalties section on my account. Since it no longer appears there, I assumed there may have been some change to the status of the penalty. However, I still appear to be restricted and I have not actually been unbanned.

Right now I’m receiving mixed signals. The transfer ban is no longer showing under my penalties, but my account still seems to be affected, and my appeal was closed without any explanation.

I’d appreciate if someone could review this properly and clarify:

- Why my transfer ban appeal was closed as a duplicate

- Whether opening a live chat caused this

- Whether selecting the wrong device in my appeal affected the case

- Why the transfer ban disappeared from my penalties page

- Whether my account is still under a transfer ban or if there is a system issue

I’m mainly looking for a clear explanation because the current situation is very confusing.

    Sorry for the confusion with this situation! I'm afraid we aren't able to discuss any account details including ban status here via the forums. If you have multiple cases open simultaneously, the support team may close others as duplicates.

    Whether that was done mistakenly here due to one case being an appeal and the other a separate live chat, I can't say. That would be best to get back in touch with the support team so they can take another look and chat with you about the details. Rather than an appeal, I'd suggest resuming a case from your case history page here

    If you're not able to resume a case, try creating a new one here rather than going through the appeal process, at least until the support team can take a look and let you know the best route to pursue this going forward. Thanks!

    i dont really care about the personal details im just worried about wether my appeal is valid because it’s disappeared now and its in the closed case section
