EA Sports FC 26 won’t start after update (AntiCheat problem)
Hello,
since today’s update of EA Sports FC 26 I’m having a major issue:
When launching, the EA AntiCheat opens as usual.
As soon as the loading bar finishes, the game instantly closes again.
Instead, the EA App just opens without any error message inside the game itself.
In the EA App I then get the message:
"The game couldn’t be started. Due to an error on our side, the launch failed. Please try again later."
What I’ve already tried:
Repairing the game in the EA App
Running EA App and game as administrator
Uninstalled and reinstalled EA AntiCheat
Uninstalled and reinstalled EA App
Checked antivirus & firewall
Restarted PC and cleared EA App cache
Unfortunately, none of that helped. The game ran without issues before the update.
Specs:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Super
My question:
Is this problem caused by my system, or is it a known bug since the latest update?
Apparently, several players are reporting the same issue.
When can we expect a fix or workaround?

If you are running into this issue, you can use this workaround while our team investigate:
Nvidia App -> Graphics -> Disable Smooth motion feature in the Driver settings.
