It's a live card with upgrades depending on how well their team does in the real life competition. Unfortunately for you when it comes to play styles it overrides the one you can put on through evolutions.
Just put this down as a lesson learnt and to be mindful of this moving forward for future evos on live cards.

I did this kind of thing (evoing live cards) in ea fc 25 as well. I specifically remember that evoed cards lost their rights to be updated when they became eligible for live updates.
I understand things can change, but i still don't feel this was handled right.
I accept i might have missed communication on this topic from EA, but after putting Estevao through the inside edge evo i specifically remember checking to see if his type change (it had, he was no longer an UCL card, he was a toty honorable mention card) . Also, he had lost that tab that live cards have where the possible upgrades are explained.
It's definately going to be a lesson learned but I still feel this was poorly handled.
