fail to load settings file

i've been having trouble logging into my ea fc 26.

i complained about not getting my pre-order content a few days ago, and a few hours later i saw a button on my steam client, saying something like "click to redeem your pre-order content", i pressed it, and since then the game is no longer playable. i did play the game for a few days before.

while trying to load my settings file at the very start of launching the game, i get "failed to load." error message.

already tried verifying integrity of game files threw steam,

already tried deleting and re-installing the game,

already tried Clear the EA app cache with EAAntiCheat.Installer,

already tried opening steam and the ea app as administrator,

already tried deleting and re-installing the EA AntiCheat.

also tried uninstalling windows update

all of the above were suggestions of advisors i talked to, didn't change a thing the problem still stands.

i don't know if it's related, but i downloaded stuff and my ssd drive was full, i emptied it since then but the problem still remains and i wonder if that has anything to do with it.

btw, is there a chance the problem is on your end and not mine?
