We are a bunch of family-oriented adults who have been playing the Pro Clubs mode religiously since its launch back in 2008, when we were still in our 20s. This is a game that has held together a tight group of friends who are at the moment spread across Europe. We have even managed to meet a few times IRL over the past two decades, which was an amazing experience that would have never happened without this mode keeping us connected.
The name, Black Derkas, was chosen as a tribute to African football culture because of the heritage of some of our members. We understand that automated filters are designed to "protect", but this is a false positive. The club has existed for 17 years. I know it doesn't affect the gameplay and we can continue playing as if nothing has happened with another name, but for us, it's about our identity, our history, and the digital home we've built together for two decades. We only play a couple of nights per week, so it's a rather emotional issue for us.
Clubs mode does not feature a "Rename" function and has left us completely stranded. Our only option to change it is to completely delete the club, destroying our division standing, history, and accumulated Club XP.
We are asking for a human to look at this, rather than an automated system.
Could a Community Manager please review our club's long history to verify that we are a legitimate legacy group, not a bad faith creation?
If this is not possible, can we be given the option to at least slightly change the spelling and bypass the filter while keeping our club progression intact?
Thank you in advance.
