I dug up more steps to try on this:

Turn off Text-to-Speech/menu narration if it is on.

Go to C:\Users\Your_Username\AppData\Local\EA SPORTS FC 26 and rename the EA SPORTS FC 26 folder to EA SPORTS FC 26_backup. Appdata is a hidden folder.

How to delete corrupt files in EA SPORTS FC™

Disable overlays - EA app overlay, Discord overlay, GeForce Experience overlay, and turn off tools like MSI Afterburner / RivaTuner.

That’s how I use my controller I don’t use Bluetooth because my pc doesn’t have it so it’s not that

There is a small chance this is caused by a USB drive, can you remove any external drives and retry. Sorry for the back and forth here. EA_Barry.

I disconnected all external USB devices and tested again. The issue still occurs. I have also tested a different controller and the problem remains. Because the issue happens with multiple controllers, it does not appear to be a controller hardware problem. What additional troubleshooting steps can I try?
Everything is disconnected except for the controller.
