I am experiencing a serious routing issue when connecting to EA servers.
Location: Germany (Telekom ISP)
Instead of connecting to nearby EU servers (Frankfurt/Amsterdam), my connection is routed through multiple countries and ends up in the USA.
Traceroute result:
Germany → France → Netherlands → UK → USA (Zayo network)
This causes:
- High latency (~90–100 ms)
- Noticeable input delay in-game
- Much worse gameplay compared to before (I used to have ~4–5 ms)
What I already tried:
- Restarted router multiple times
- Left router unplugged for over 1 hour (new IP assigned)
- Reset broadband line from Telekom
- Disabled IPv6
- Tested different DNS (Cloudflare / Google)
The issue persists.
This seems to be a routing/peering problem (possibly via Zayo) and not a local network issue.
Please investigate, as this problem affects gameplay significantly and appears to impact multiple users.
