L2 pass not registering

What is it with L2 passing? I’ve tried so many times using L2 pass especially on a build up to scoring when I hold L2 and pass or whatever it just doesn’t register and no it’s not my controller I have 3 and they all just don’t seem to register at all even on Squad battles it’s so inconsistent and it’s costing me games especially when every c*** is sat in there box with 20 men!
