Live Event issues

I am wondering if any players on the PC platform are experiencing issues that seem to be focused on this game mode on ultimate team.

It appears to be almost exclusively on this game mode and has been quite costly, considering you only get limited attempts.

World cup event has been plagued with disconnects at kick off and this has now carried over to the silver stars event. In addition to this specific issue, i have had 2 games already today where I am unable to use my controller at kick off and the player icon is now orange. Works fine in menus but it has cost  3 games today between  these two issues, which again seem to be only showing in the live event mode.

I have reported this issue and I was told on live chat that the devs are aware of this kick off issue  but that was during the world cup tournament so it appears.
 Live chat today stated that i am the first to report this bug despite the fact a previous colleague stated the above. What is going in the background? Are we just getting fed nonsense or is there  a missing link between those on the front line and devs??

In a mode where we get limited attempts and the rewards being greater for more games won , it is a bitter pill to swallow knowing youre likely to miss out.
