Matchmaking Issue

When I attempt to get into a division rivals game with my main team, after getting past the team preview animation and just before the match begins, I receive the error "You lost your connection to your opponent. We'll check the match report to see who won and who lost." I do not receive a loss for this game thankfully, but through trial and error I have figured that this only happens when I have 97 FUTTIES Ferland Mendy anywhere in my squad (reserves included). As far as I am aware this is the only player in my club that has this issue and this issue has only arisen within the past few days as the player has 134 matches previously played.
