Objectives Journey of nations and Karl not tracking

I've been trying to do the journey of nations objectives since the world cup started. Ive played so many games and they never register. Once every 10 games it might count a few of them but i still cant do it. Now the lennart karl objectives arent working either. I have assisted 5 with a german midfielder and it doesnt count. Can anybody explain why none of these objectives work for me, but out of nowhere it might end up counting

    Hello IbraCadibraPlays​ ,

    Sorry to hear that your objectives are not tracking correctly. Often, they don't track if you use a player that is not in his natural position.

    For example, 5 assists with a German midfielder, is he actually a midfielder ?

    You can try a different player who is a natural player in the position to see if if it tracks.

    Try to avoid special cards (when possible) as well.
