Community ManagerIf your console is overheating while playing FC 26, it will protect itself by shutting down. You can know it is definitely overheating if you have to unplug the power cable and reconnect it before restarting the PS5. Cleaning the console is usually the remedy, but professional cleaning or even PlayStation warranty consultation may be required.

It's happening to me again now. Yesterday was okay but you got problems with pro clubs mode.
Today i played fc26 on my ps5 for only 2 hours and it shut down twice. I played other games for hours and it never overheated and never shut down by itself.

Different games place varying levels and types of demand on the console. Just because this is the only game that is overheating your console does not necessarily mean the game is at fault. If that was the case, every PS5 would be shutting down and we would have a much bigger issue on our hands. I recommend professional cleaning, which will return your console to a factory-fresh state, and if there is no other hardware issue at play, you should be good to go for some time. Thank you.
