Re: FC 26 activate error on PC with EA Play Pro
Many of us purchased EA Play Pro specifically for the 7-day early access to EA FC 26. For PC players, online play has been broken since launch, and now 5 days have already passed with no proper fix. That leaves only 2 days of “early access” left — which means the main benefit we paid for is essentially gone.
EA has acknowledged the fault, but this doesn’t change the fact that:
The advertised service (full early access, including online play) was not delivered.
Most players have already lost the majority of the early access period.
Simply fixing the servers now won’t restore the lost days.
Under consumer protection laws (especially in the UK/EU), digital services must work as described. If they don’t, customers are entitled to a fix, replacement, or refund. Since the early access period is almost over, a “fix” can no longer give us what we paid for.
I think it’s only fair that EA:
Offers refunds for affected EA Play Pro subscribers, or
Provides compensation, such as subscription extensions or equivalent in-game value.
We don’t want to be unreasonable — but we also don’t want to pay for something we didn’t get. I hope EA will do the right thing here.
