Re: game shutting down
I'm encountering two critical bugs in EA SPORTS FC 26 (Steam PC, version 26.0.8730445.0 / Title Update 1.5.1) that make Career Mode unplayable:
- Game Crash on Youth Player Position ChangeWhenever I try to create a Development Plan to change a youth academy player's position (whether they are still in the academy or promoted to the first team), the game crashes immediately to desktop. I've tested multiple position changes:
- LWB → ST
- RM → CAM
- RB → CB
- CDM → CMAll attempts result in the same crash. This happens in Manager Career Mode on PC (Steam).
- All Youth Scout Reports Show 1-99 Random AttributesSince installing TU1.5.1, every single youth scout report displays player attributes as random values between 1 and 99, instead of the normal 50-75 range. Even after promoting these players to the first team, their underlying data remains corrupted, and any position training triggers the crash mentioned above.
- Additional Issue: Repeated 1.7MB Update on LaunchEvery time I launch the game via Steam, it automatically downloads a 1.7MB file, even though I've already verified the game files integrity multiple times. This suggests a file validation bug in the 1.5.1 patch.
These issues are not isolated: I've seen many other players on PS5, Xbox, and PC reporting the exact same problems on the forums. The 1.5.1 patch clearly introduced critical bugs to the Youth Academy system that break core Career Mode gameplay.
