Pro clubs match search stuck on 'preparing team sheet'

I'm playing pro clubs on EA FC 26 on PS5. When I search for a match, it gets stuck on 'preparing team sheet'. It will flash the message repeatedly until I get 'failed to join lobby!'. It works ok when my teammate searches for games, but we want me to be captain so I can control the AI players.

Has anyone had something similar and does anyone know how to fix it?

Hey there. Thanks for reaching out. I'm sure this is frustrating to deal with. Let's see if power cycling your equipment will help. Please try these steps:

Unplug your modem/router for 2 minutes

Hard restart your console by holding down the power button until it turns off

Power it all up and try playing again

Let me know what happens.
