Rivals not connecting

Whenever I go to play rivals matches it loads on and shows my opponents team and then instantly disconnects me and says “you lost your connection to your opponent”. I am able to play rush, online draft and the festival of football gauntlet but rivals does not work at all.i have tried disabling cross play and hard resetting my console but no luck.
