The tournament final is not being recorded

I'm experiencing a frustrating issue in EA Sports FC 26. The game saves normally throughout the tournament until I reach the final match. After I complete the final and the match ends, the game fails to save the result. Instead of showing the post-match sequence or saving the tournament completion, clicking Continue takes me straight back to the main menu without any save prompt.

When I reload my save, the game behaves as if the final was never played, forcing me to replay the exact same match over and over again. The tournament can never be completed because the final result is never recorded.

I experienced the exact same issue in FC 24, and I assumed it would be fixed in FC 26, which is one of the reasons I purchased the newer game. Unfortunately, the problem still exists, making it impossible to finish tournaments properly. This appears to be a persistent save/progression bug that other players have also reported.
