Ultimate Challenge Glitch

I play on PlayStation 5 and I’ve been trying to complete the Ultimate Challenge. I played the first two matches, but on the third one my game suddenly closed. When I logged back in, I received a disconnection message. Then, when I tried to access the challenge again (which I thought was supposed to be a daily challenge), I noticed I was able to re-enter it.

I assumed this was a feature of the game and tried again, but the same issue happened — the game crashed on the last match, two more times in a row. After doing some research, I found out that some people are actually abusing this bug on purpose to gain an advantage.

Now I’m really concerned that I might receive a penalty, even though I had no idea this was a known exploit. Could you please confirm if I’m at risk of being punished? I honestly didn’t know and it wasn’t intentional.
