I am playing on Switch 2 and I have just been hit with the error message. It appears every time I launch the game and cannot be bypassed. Hitting Ok just displays the message again.
I do not have an additional storage device. I have no memory card inserted, just the internal storage.
I see that I am far from the first person to have this issue. Game is more expensive than ever and I can't even play it!

Is this fixed? I have a job offer for a club that would be of interest but I'd also like to hold onto my current career save. The ability to use a checkpoint save about now would be ideal

Cannot even start a career because of this idiotic bug. I even disconnected my PS5 from the intenet but still getting the same error. PLEASE FIX IT ASAP !!!!!

I can't load into the game anymore, without deleting my whole saved data. If i then load my saves from the cloud i get the message: "Du hast mehr als eine Speichereinheit mit einem FC 26-Profil. Bitte wähle eine Speichereinheit, von der geladen werden soll." Which translates roughly to: I got more than one Storage Unit with a FC 26-Profile. My initial research suggets, that it is a Problem with a career Checkpoint save. Problem is i can't delete single save files, only the whole profile with all my savegames gone. What can I do? I don't want to loose all my savegames, just because EAFC can't differenciate between a 2nd Profile and a Checkpoint-Save.

I am the exact same have tried everything I went through all solutions.
i think it’s to do with the ea profile attached to your account. Have tried contacting ea for a resolve and nothing

Done everything to try and resolve this - I have already lost all progress from my career mode saves the FIRST time and with this now being the SECOND time the error has appeared since the game has been out ( less than a month) I refuse to do it again.
i have paid for the season pass and can’t even go onto my fc account to play career mode because I don’t want to loose the progress from the other saves and ultimately there’s no point because if I do delete all data and start fresh the same error is just going to pop up in a couple of weeks and Ill have wasted my time again.
Hopefully a fix comes for this bug ASAP -complete waste of money buying this game and the pass - I hope there’s compensation for all the people who have bought the game and can’t even play it without deleting all your progress…

I’m also having this issue it’s Oct 9th, 2025. EA never ceases to amaze me when it comes to this game on how bad it’s become, I’ve never had this issue with any other game I’ve played
