Broken ban system

I have recently been transfer banned after being falsely accused of coin transfer.

Your system is broken as it flags legitimate actions as breaking ToS.

Similarly your appeal system is not suitable as the same automated responses are sent out with no evidence provided.

Im order to get the evidence you are using to falsely accuse me of something I have requested my data via a GDPR request that stated  it should take a couple of hours. It has now been 12 hours.

I wish to escalate this to a formal complaint. Please provide your legal department address for me to submit an official complaint about the system you are using to give out bans, the appeal system and your potential failure to adhere to GDPR regulations.

From reading these forums are in other places there seems to be a large number of people affected. All I can suggest is doing the same thing. Request your data, use tools available in all good search tool providers to help you write a formal complaint.

Kind regards

  • Hey chocman1978, actions taken on your account can be frustrating, but in cases like this, there's really nothing that we on the forums can do to directly deal with your ban due to privacy and security concerns. We are not able to discuss a ban with you or give details on why a ban was placed or an appeal rejected and our inability to verify account ownership with you on the forum means that we can direct you to the right support.

All we can do is recommend that you appeal the ban by following the steps in this help article

A member of the team reviews your appeal and will make a decision based on all the information at hand. The replies you receive are not automated; the team uses templates to ensure uniformity. If your appeal is declined, it means the investigation found evidence to uphold the ban. If you believe a mistake was made in this case, then you can file another appeal, providing all the information you have about why you feel the ban was incorrectly added.

The GDPR request can take some time to gather. You will get an update when the data is ready to download. Gathering that much data is quite a job and due to privacy and security, it may take a little more time to privatise and gather.

If you wish to make a formal complaint, you can do so through our live support team here. They will be able to review your complaint and see if it qualifies for escalation as a formal complaint.

If you wish to pursue legal action, then your legal team would be aware of the process of initiating action. If you speak with them, they will know how to reach out to the right team within EA to begin the process.
