Yeah, I've never found an JRPG or RPG in general that I haven't played for at least 100+ hours. I wouldn't say Expedition 33 is the longest game, but I personally think it's such a good game that it's worth the money. I've currently got 77 hours on it, I've completed the main story but there are still challenges I need to do and certain boss fights I've been saving. It's definitely worth the £50 though, unless you can find an offer for it.
The last few years have been disappointing for single player games, but that's because companies became fascinated with the whole live service bs that doesn't actually work for most games. They all just saw the money Fortnite managed to make and thought they could do the same thing. There are a lot of games that look promising next year, but as with a lot of games in recent years I'm waiting to see if they manage to mess them up.
