Chemistry issue

I used evolutions (the Main Event) to get to a 97 Roy Makaay card with Greats of the Game ICON rarity, but he doesn't give ICON links, meaning one of my players is not on full chemistry as he would be with other ICONs. I assume this is because his base card was a Hero and it's not working properly, but could this be fixed? Thank you.
