Cosmetic Evolution changed FUT Birthday rarity and blocks Bakery Evolution

Hello,

 

I accidentally applied a cosmetic evolution to my FUT Birthday Antonio Rüdiger card.

 

The cosmetic changed the card rarity to “FUT Birthday Retro 18”. Because of this, I can no longer use the Birthday Bakery Evolution which requires a FUT Birthday item.

 

EA Support confirmed that cosmetic evolutions cannot be reverted. However, this seems like a design issue because a cosmetic change permanently blocks the card from other evolutions.

 

Could this please be reviewed by the development team?

    This is not an issue or a bug.

    Buddy, please try to understand the game. In FC, 'Rarity' means 'Card Type.' If you change a card type, it loses the benefits of the old type and gains the benefits of the new one. It does not carry forward the benefits of the previous card type; this has been in the game since FC 24.

    If you look at the Rarity filter in your club or the transfer market, it will show you a list of card types. You need to understand the concept that Rarity means Card Type.

    Did it with Pogba… “it has been in the game since FC24” ok I get it. But some people just don’t know all the little details about the game. I don’t think allowing a player to revert a card back to its original status would hurt anyone. It may be our mistake because we did not scan the QR code and read all the way through the Q&As but the same way we can recover a quick sold item, we should be able to cancel an evo.

    - Every time a new evo drops, you end up canceling yesterday's evo just to use the new one. Don't you think this will hurt the game?

    I’ve just done the same thing with my rudiger 😭😭, card with no play styles is pointless
