Which evolution are you talking about? Can you please attach a screenshot from the game so that someone from the community can help you with this?
If you have completed a particular level in the evolution, then upon expiry, you will get a message about the automatic claiming of the partial Evo.

Here’s a screenshot. It’s the Dutch Decider. If I claim the partial reward it would put him to 90 gen with zero boost. Which seems pretty unfair as I didn’t claim no reward before expiration.
Buddy, if you look at your screenshot, you’ve already completed Level 1. Once you finish a particular level, you cannot undo it. If you hadn't completed Level 1, your card would not have reached a 90 overall rating. This is my understanding.
You should have checked evolution preview before putting your card into the evolution. The preview shows this information for each level.

I'm not sure about the time limit, as I've never waited that much longer to claim an Evo.
From what I understand, you have 2 options now:
- Claim the 90-rated partial Evo and wait for 90+ rated Evolutions to be released in the future. We should start seeing those once TOTS begins.
- Claim the 90-rated card and discard it (either via an SBC or quicksell) to start a completely new Evo chain for that player.
You might want to wait for other community members to reply in case they know of a better workaround.
