Evolutions on debut icon

Hello,

I pre-ordered EA FC 26 Ultimate Edition specifically to receive the Debut ICON that is supposed to be upgraded later in the game cycle.

Last month, an Evolution called “Stars in Motion” was released. I used it on my Debut ICON Totti to upgrade the card.

At no point in-game was it mentioned that applying an Evolution to a Debut ICON would make it ineligible for the automatic upgrade. I checked EA forums and the official support pages, and there was no indication of this anywhere.

On Futbin, several users mentioned that the card would still receive the upgrade even if an Evolution was applied. I contacted EA Support twice and received conflicting answers: one representative said the card would not be upgraded, while another said EA is currently working on a fix.

Can we have a clear explanation please

    Was wondering kind of the same. Have seen some players add a ps+ evo to their debut icon and I added a role ++ to my Kroos. Are debut icons with a ps+ evo or role ++ evo still gonna upgrade, since they’re technically still debut icon card type, and are they gonna hold on to the applied ps+ or role ++?

    i have similar question. I dont wanna loose ps plus on my icon, i dont care about upgraded ps plus play style, just give me upgrade.
