Fifa points

I have a question, because the first time I transferred FIFA points from EA FC 25 to 26, I only had 50 (left over from purchases), and when I logged into the previous edition today, I found 1,600 FIFA points. Did EA do this on purpose, and how can I transfer them to the new edition?
